Hot cities

The Hot Cities poster was inspired by Middle Eastern architectural ornaments, incorporating vibrant "hot pink" and deep green to emphasize the heat and reflect Arab culture. The Arabic typography drew from the Kufic Fatimi calligraphy style, historically used in architecture, blending tradition with modern design. Commissioned by the curators and the Vitra Design Museum for the Hot Cities exhibition, the poster was a cultural statement aligning with the exhibition's theme. It was silk screen printed at an impressive size of 118.5x175 cm, with the front showcasing the design and the back of the poster featuring a single column listing all collaborators and credits, adding depth and acknowledgment to the creative process.
