'This is a Chicago Printing Office' is a rewrite of Beatrice Warde's seminal 'This is a Printing Office,' incorporating the words of fellow Chicagoans Studs Terkel, Gwendolyn Brooks, Harold Washington, Nelson Algren, Barack Obama, Jane Addams and Carl Sandburg.
The image is set to resemble a piece of metal type and is entirely created with metal type. The top image is the building that houses Starshaped Press.
The 17x11" print is one of 10 for a type-specimen-as-memoir portfolio project.
