Process Book 15 is a collection of test prints from a screenprinted project exploring the materiality of language through typographic form. Before a screenprint is created, a test print is pulled on newsprint to ensure the quality of the print. For economic and environmental reasons many different prints are overprinted on the same sheet creating moments of interruption and dialogue between the printed typographic forms. The process book is carefully curated with a number of the test sheets which are then hand bound with a repurposed screenprinted cover.
Another interesting aspect is the oscillation of material significance of the substrate The inside pages are all newsprint, which by its very nature is ephemeral. But by utilising it in this way, the value shifts from a material with a relatively low value to becoming a unique artefact.
