30-page risographed publication of a type specimen/zine created in collaboration with 10 artists. Each artist used one of the 4 typefaces to create a poster, which was then risographed and bound together in the form of a zine.
A cumulative thesis experience put together in the form of a 150-page publication that encompassed all aspects and avenues of the start and progression of Extra Bold Italic Foundry. An innovative yet comprehensive approach to editorial design.

Extra Bold Italic Type Foundry is a graduate thesis project that explores the beauty of the in-betweenness and the design of typefaces beyond the inelastic nature of traditional Latin type design.Through 4 typeface proposals, the thesis aims to break the binary nature of typeface design, and not just look at typefaces as vehicles for languages but also as expressive graphical elements that are legible, intriguing and not constrained by the dated extremes of drawing letterforms.
