DisArt is an arts and culture organization that focuses its energy on creating public art events that cultivate and communicate a Disabled culture. As the organization has grown they have added a podcast, Distopia, and are beginning to work in the for-profit consulting world. We developed the name DisCourse for their new venture and then unified the 3 brands with a graphic identity loosely based on classic Bauhaus typography. An important feature of the system is its strict compliance with ADA guidelines. Rather than viewing this as a restraint, we approached it with the concept of hyper-legibility - often using type much larger than required in a sophisticated manner.
