Andrej Krátky is Slovak graphic designer and type designer. He studied in Czech republic and USA, graduating from the Type & Typography studio at the UMPRUM in Prague. He started his career as a freelance graphic and type designer, briefly teaching typography at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He co-founded the Creative Department agency in Bratislava in 1995, where he has been a creative director and partner. He designed the FF Bradlo (FontShop) and Typotheque Nara & Nara Sans typefaces. His typeface designs were rewarded Bronze medal of Brno Biennial 1996 and recognition at National Design Prize in 2011. Together with Peter Biľak they started the font trial and rental service Fontstand in 2015.
