STA 100 competition
guidelines

Eligibility

The most exclusive awards show — only 100 winners — is now also the most inclusive — accepting entries both published and unpublished from around the world.
All designers, agencies, students and organizations are encouraged to submit their work that represents exceptional graphic design. Posters, font design, logos, web sites, marketing collateral… show us your best work! Entries must have been produced between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.

Submission Deadline: Friday, July 15th
Late Entries Deadline: Monday, August 1st – NO LATE FEES!
Judges Night Opening Celebration: Friday, August 5 in Chicago, IL

Submissions

Do not submit actual artwork—we are only accepting digital submissions this year
You may upload multiple images for each submission
Use high-quality photographs of your work
Be sure to take closeup shots of typography or small details
You may submit PDF files of the actual design work

Ideal Upload Specifications

Files under 10mb each
JPEG, EPS or PDF
Images for print at 8.5”x11”
600 dpi if possible
CMYK or RGB
For video or 4D work, mp4 format is preferred

Judging

To support The Society of Typographic Arts’ middle name, judges will honor entries that display cutting edge graphic design and exceptional typography—this includes print communications that feature type and digital work that utilizes typography in an innovative manner.

Recognition

Winners will be announced at the Opening Night Celebration on August 5th, posted to the STA website, and included in the STA 100 publication. All selected works become a part of the STA 100 catalog and online exhibit.

Legal Information

By submitting your work, you acknowledge use of the entry or images of the entry publication, promotion, and any other capacity, by The Society of Typographic Arts in perpetuity.  The STA cannot be held responsible for any damage to pieces/work. By submitting you absolve STA of any onus for the physical state of pieces/work. The STA is not responsible for unlicensed imagery or content. Full payment of entry fees will be verified before work is eligible for review. Abuse of the pricing structure will result in ejection from the contest without refund.
